Paraburdoo Breathwork Journey

Friday 23rd October | 6:45pm – 9pm
Karingal Neighbourhood Centre

A ceremonial breathwork experience combining conscious breath, nervous system safety, and grounding ritual.

An invitation…

Inviting you to a grounded space to see, sense and feel all that lies just beneath the surface of the ‘monkey mind’.

About the Experience

This ceremonial breathwork journey weaves together gentle, body-led breathing, deeper connected breath, and sacred trauma-informed space-holding.
It is not just about technique ~ it is about creating a container where your body feels safe enough to open, release, and reconnect with itself.

Each session is intentionally curated to support emotional release, deeper insight, and reconnection to the parts of self that may have been suppressed, forgotten, or longing to be witnessed. Through this reconnection, we begin to integrate and embody more of who we truly are ~ beyond conditioning and limiting beliefs.

This experience includes:

• Conscious connected breathwork for emotional release and insight
• Somatic guidance to support nervous system safety
• Healing sounds and frequencies
• Nourishing integration to ground, restore, and integrate

If you feel a subtle pull towards this journey, trust that invitation.
This space has been divinely orchestrated for those meant to be here.

Please note, this is not a 9D Breathwork journey. We do not facilitate or intend to facilitate 9D Breathwork.

What to Expect

→ Opening circle and intention setting

FAQ

What does breathwork actually do?
Breathwork uses intentional breathing patterns to influence the body, mind and nervous system. With out style of practice, it may support emotional awareness, mental clarity, safe cathartic release and a greater sense of connection to yourself.
Some practices are gentle and regulating, while others can feel more activating and expansive. Every experience is different~there is no particular feeling, release or outcome you need to achieve.

Why do some people cry during breathwork?
Intentional breathing can create space for emotions that may not have been fully felt or expressed. Tears may arise from sadness, relief, joy, frustration or simply the experience of slowing down and reconnecting with yourself.
Crying is a natural response, but it is not a measure of whether breathwork is “working.” You may cry, laugh, feel peaceful, experience very little or move through a range of sensations. All responses are welcome.

What are the potential side effects of breathwork?
Temporary sensations can include tingling, light-headedness, temperature changes, muscle tension, emotional sensitivity or mild fatigue. These effects generally settle when the breathing returns to its natural rhythm.
You are always encouraged to listen to your body, pause or return to normal breathing whenever needed. Please let your facilitator know before the session if you are pregnant, have a significant medical or mental health condition, or are unsure whether breathwork is suitable for you. Breathwork is a complementary wellbeing practice and is not a replacement for medical or psychological care.

Can breathwork bring up trauma?
Breathwork can sometimes bring emotions, memories or body sensations to the surface, including experiences connected with past trauma. This does not happen for everyone, and we do not force, pursue or promise an emotional release.
At Ora, you remain in choice throughout the practice. You may slow down, return to your natural breath, change position or stop at any time. Our role is to offer a grounded and supportive space while respecting your body’s own pace. If you are currently navigating significant or complex trauma, we recommend speaking with your treating healthcare professional before participating.

I hadn't done much yoga prior to attending this studio but the atmosphere was very inviting & informative on the teachers part. I have done a couple different classes at Ora now & I want to make it a regular thing as I feel like it’s a good way to check in with my body especially incorporating it with my weight training. I work FIFO, 4-5 week swings so Im often fatigued but this is a way of giving back to myself & it helps my sleep. Would love to do a breath work class or one of the special events they have. Highly recommend. 100%

I was visiting Karratha and I was encouraged to visit the Ora Wellness Centre for Yoga. I attended a Saturday morning class with Tayla and the Sunday Yin and Sound class with Tayla and Danni. I found that Tayla and Danni were extremely welcoming considering that I was joining the classes at short notice. Both Yoga sessions were well presented and provided a safe and motivating environment to work through a great range of postures, breathing exercises and relaxation activities. Many thanks

I have been doing restorative yoga every week on Wednesday night with Taylor for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it, it’s such a perfect reset for myself to do in the middle of the week, it gives me a chance to reflect on the week I have had but also realign myself both physically and mentally for the rest of the week to come, Taylor makes every class unique, from if it’s a different quote that she reads or an extra little exercise she will add to the practice, I always look forward to what unique session I will have with her. In regards to the studio itself it is beautiful and very welcoming, I have kept an eye on the many different events they organise throughout the year and I am very keen on delving deeper. I think if you after adding a new experience to your routine ora wellness is definitely something you should consider, it may not be something like one of the events they organise but just starting small with yoga, in saying that I would also recommend to try every type of yoga they facilitate as yoga has so many different variations, I have tried so many different forms and thought it wasn’t for me until I found restorative yoga, there is something truly magical about about it.
